Eragon Online Game

The connection between dragons and vehicle rental may not be an obvious one but we made it work!

Thrifty Car & Van Rental were approached by 20th Century Fox to assist in promoting the release of the film ‘Eragon’ on DVD. We saw the opportunity in not only promoting the DVD but also increasing traffic to Thrifty’s website so decided an online game was the obvious solution.

The game engaged players in a challenge to answer questions about the film, as well as the company, in order to successfully train their own dragon. If the questions proved too tricky they were encouraged to visit the Thrifty site to find the answers, and they were offered a price incentive to return to the site and make a booking once the game had been completed.

As well as increasing traffic to the Thrifty website, the game also enabled data capture of a large number of potential Thrifty customers (and potential dragon trainers).
